Let me introduce myself.

I, Lokesh Kumar Patnaik, embarked on my educational journey at Vignan’s Institute of Information Technology in Duvvada, majoring in Information Technology. During my undergraduate studies, I honed my skills in Core Java, Advanced Java, Python, and Web Development. It wasn't just a period of academic learning; my time there also enriched me with life lessons through interactions with friends and mentors, reshaping my perspective on the world. One of the defining moments in my undergraduate journey was an internship I secured during my sophomore year. I spent two months as a Game Developer Intern at KAMK, where I gained invaluable real-world experience. The projects I worked on, along with the problem-solving challenges I faced, provided me with practical insights into the software industry. This international exposure laid a strong foundation for my career, and I am grateful for the learning and mentoring I received during this internship.

After completing my bachelor's degree, I was offered a position at DXC Technology as an Associate Data Engineer. In this role, I deepened my expertise in AWS services such as CloudWatch, Redshift, EC2, Lightsail, and Lambda. I also worked with a variety of databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, IBM Db2, Oracle, and Snowflake. As I addressed L1 and L2 support tickets for clients like Bristol Myers Squibb, I gained hands-on experience in solving complex technical issues and improving data quality. After six months, I was promoted to Data Engineer, allowing me to work with complex data pipelines using Apache Spark and Hive, as well as implementing CI/CD pipelines with Docker and Jenkins. This role expanded my understanding of data engineering and the critical role data plays in today's market. It also gave me direct exposure to the analytics team, which helped me see the broader applications of data engineering in business strategies.

This career progression inspired me to pursue higher education to further deepen my skills and knowledge. I decided to enroll in the Master's program in Computer Science at Florida Atlantic University, focusing on Data Science, Deep Learning, Data Mining, and Predictive Analysis. These advanced studies are aligned with my career goals, enabling me to build on my industry experience and stay at the forefront of technology trends. As I continue my journey, I am eager to find opportunities where I can bring my skills, creativity, and experience to a dynamic team. I am excited to contribute my ideas and collaborate with like-minded professionals, always striving to make a positive impact in the world of technology.
